the world through my lens
These amazing dancers were performing at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur. It was just mesmerizing to see these two young girls perform traditional Rajasthani folk dances. One of the girls (the “shadow” dancer) had a real sadness about her…I could sense that she had a fascinating story to tell…..Enjoy!
So here are a few more pictures I wanted to share from my recent trip to India. Again, my focus is mainly on the people. Hope you enjoy them! (p.s. when leaving comments, please leave your name as well so that I can respond to you personally. Thanks!)
After a LONG hiatus from the blog, I finally have the opportunity to post some pics from my recent trip to India in March 2013. This was my first trip back in almost 30 years and it was overwhelming to say the least. There is so much for your senses to take in that you truly need time to sit back and reflect on what it means to you and how you interpret everything going on around you. Here are a few shots from New Delhi, Punjab and various cities/villages in Rajasthan. While I did see so many beautiful places and historical sites, for me, I am always fascinated by the people. Anyway, enough talking, just see for yourself and please feel free to share your comments/thoughts/feedback. Enjoy!
Ok, so here are a few more shots of some funky graffiti which can be found in the alleys of T.O. (sorry, I’m not very good at coming up with catchy captions 🙂 )
Ok so it’s been a while since I’ve posted something on the blog…sorry to keep you waiting! Here are a few random shots from a recent trip to T.O. Enjoy! (your feedback is always appreciated!)
Of course, those of you who know me, know the answer ;)…This was taken from the Bathurst Street Bridge at 8:50pm on Saturday night. The sky was electric blue!
It’s been a while since I’ve been there….definitely due for a trip back to my second favourite city on the planet 🙂 . Here are a few shots…enjoy!
So when we were in Cape Cod a few weeks ago, we went whale watching in the Atlantic Ocean. Wow! words can’t describe how magnificent the humpback whales are! They range from 39-52 feet (12-16m) in length and weigh about 79,000 lbs (36,000 kgs). These creatures are massive and truly amazing! It was hard to capture them because the boat was pretty rocky and these monsters move pretty fast! well at least these shots will give you a bit of an idea….stunning creatures! here’s the tour we went on: http://www.whalewatch.com/
